France and China

Apparently they are having a diplomatic chilling period right now because of Sarkozy's overtures that he is going to see the Dalai Lama, as well as criticism of China over Tibet and his threatened boycott of the Olympics. The rather outspoken French President was recently snubbed, as was all of the EU, by China when they canceled last minute on a summit between the EU and China meant to discuss such things as the cooperation needed to solve the global financial crisis, ironically enough.
