Retail Sales, Wholesale Prices Fall

Falling Gas prices and a decreased demand for cars has led to a decrease in Retail Sales this past november. However, the decline was lower than expected due to consumer spending on clothes, electronics, etc. The expected drop was 2.2%, but in reality the drop was only 1.8%.

Prices for consumer goods have been consistently decreasing and i think that this may lead to deflation. consumption is low even when prices are falling, this is going to cause problems seeing as how the fed has dropped interest rates to 1% already. I think this is a serious issue, the government needs to find a way to increase consumption.
