Social services provided by governments are becoming more crucial as women's roles in economy are getting important. In Korea, as the wasted female labor is a big obstacle for economic development, the government seeks hard for solutions.
The World Economic Forum publishes Global Gender Gap Index every year, which shows the level of inequality in a country. I think it is also interesting to look at.

I do believe that there are some gender inequality still left for the society in Korea, and it is interesting how this can be an obstacle for economic development. However, I believe that due to series of development, there has been many changes in the Korean society including the gender inequality. Although there many problmes left for it to be solve, I believe that this inequality will decrease as observed from the past.
