President Bush has SKILLZ!!!!

Check these razor sharp reflexes of president Bush has he dodges shoes thrown at him at a press conference on a surprise visit to Iraq. An Iraqi journalist was the thrower of the shoes and yelled "this is a goodbye kiss from the Iraqi people, dog," before he was wrestled to the ground. The soles of shoes are considered an insult in Arab culture. During the trip, Mr Bush and Iraqi PM Nouri Maliki signed the new security agreement between the two countries.
All the president had to comment on the topic was "All I can report is a size 10," he said according to the Associated Press news agency.

Although he was wrestled down by many I wonder how many men in the room secretly applaud George Bush's attacker.

Its funny how 5 years ago there with images of Saddam's statue being torn down in Baghdad with people hitting him with the soles of their shoes. I hope this guy sits in jail though. Even if you disagree with him, you don't attack the President of the United States. Have some civility people!

hehe Great Grant!!
I do want you to think though Grant, what this man could be perceiving what you call a "disagreement".
From what could be this journalist's perspective, Mr. Bush invaded this man's country, claiming several illegitimate reasons, each one less genuine than the next, Has killed (according to the Iraq Body Count) 88,851 to 96,976 civilians, some of whom could be his family. Has caused great instability, sectarian violence and separatism. And then on top of that Iraq's do not even get to invest in the infrastructure to rebuild the country. It is American contractors. you have soldiers using the Qu'ran as target practice. the crap that goes on in Abu Ghraib and the list goes on...i'm not knocking you Grant. I'm just saying, the way this man could see it Bush is lucky all he could get was a "shoe in"

haha get it? "shoe in" yea i'm good.

I'm not saying the guy has no reason to hate Bush, he has many. I'm also not saying I support President Bush. I'm trying to say that as adults we need to act like adults, that's all. To come into a press conference with the most powerful person in the world and throw your shoe at him is disrespectful and childish, no matter the circumstance.

This must not be a very good journalist. Why not write a witty article about your hate instead of looking like a fool on an international platform.

I can understand the Iraqi guy's action. It's what happens in any war: people from both sides are losing and noone gains anything. It just struck me though, about President's Bush continued interest in maintaining the war:
"Speaking just over five weeks before he hands over power to Barack Obama, Mr Bush also said the war in Iraq was not over and more work remained to be done." As I recalled, in one of the press recently, Bush admitted that the war was partially his mistake (well, he blamed on the intelligence), then why doesn't we just stop it all together?

Great Grant I agree with you 99.9%
there is just this .1% where u use the locution "disagree" which tells me you may be judging the man from a domestic perspective that of course wouldn't call for the throwing of a shoe, and just want to make sure you are aware of the other perspective as well.

at the end of the day and forget that he is the most powerful man in the world it doesn't matter whether he's george bush or joe schmoe u don't throw your shoe.

but at the end of the day. president bush has SKILLZZZZZZ

i bet he was a kickass dodge ball player in school!

BBC has an interesting article about the significance of throwing a shoe at a person in Iraq and it definitely changes my opinion of the act being silly.
