Obama Team is Divided on Tactics Against Terrorism

This article debates between current President Obama and recent President Bush on their belief differences on terrorism policies. Bush believed that imprisoning anyone who seemed a threat without trial was fair, while Obama does not quite agree. I think all deserve at least trial, because their is a lot of racism which leads to unfair judgement.

I certainly agree that everybody deserves a fair trial and are innocent until proven guilty. I hope that President Obama will place his own stamp on the war against terrorism and imprint his own brand of counter-terrorism measures. I hope that he could implement changes that improve political relationships and minimizes racial discrimination.

I agree with the article. Everybody deserves a chance and this way maybe innocent people won't be trapped. Also to avoid racism, a trial may assess whether the person is guilty or not.

I agree with the article but think that there should still be a level of awareness to President Obama's terrorism tactics because there are just as many people who go under the radar and are terrorists as there are people who are unfairly imprisoned. Bottom line, there is people out there that want to take the lives of innocent Americans and we need to do whatever means possible to stop them from creating terror on America.

There isn't racism going into this debate. It's all about politics; if you give terrorists rights, you are perceived as 'weak on terrorism.'

As for the concept of 'terrorism,' if the United States wants to remain the world's sole superpower, there will be resentment. That will occasionally turn to acts of violence. It's a fact of life. No matter how long we wait in airports, terrorism will exist.
