Nissan will sell electric car for just over $25K

This article is sweet not just because I like eco-friendly cars, but because Nissan is a respectable automaker and they sell a good product. And if it goes for $25,000, that's a wonderful price!

I think the low cost of the Leaf and Volt after the tax credit is extremely attractive to environment-friendly consumers. My preference would lean more towards the Volt, even though it is environmentally less sound. I would tend to have the "range anxiety" that they describe in the article, especially since the creation of car-charging stations hasn't become widespread. The Volt is more expensive than the Leaf, but it provides a gas-powered engine if the battery runs out, something that would certainly be beneficial in areas that don't have battery charging stations, or if you're far from home.
