Kia Motors' Hires Boost Economy, Spirits In Georgia

Being from the state of Georgia it is nice to see foreign investments boosting the local economy. It is vital for companies such as Kia to build manufacturing plants in towns such as LaGrange, in order to lower the high unemployment these "small towns" tend to experience. Since unemployment is major concern within the US economy we should be more open to foreign investments as it seems it can help desolate towns become productive again.

I would agree with your comments Brady, it is surprising that a car manufacturer would move its operations into the United States. What are the motives behind this? It may be a marketing technique to gain trust of the brand or just a way for Kia to identify with the American people. I'm not sure if this plan is sustainable though.

I think this is a good idea for Kia to do. This way the cars can be made here and Kia does not have to worry about shipping them over seas. Kia also knows that Americans are desperate for jobs. The Americans will work hard for a reasonable wage.
