How offices are beginning to go Green

Many companies are beginning to add more outdoor areas for their employees to enjoy while on break at work.  They are adding different items including walls of plants, Zen gardens, and greenhouses.  The companies believe that it will increase the flow of air and that wall of plants will be used as a natural air filter.  This could safe the business a lot of money and could increase the productivity of the workers because it may increase the satisfactory levels in the work environment.  The Bullitt Center in Seattle is an example of the changes that could happen in the future with the presence of solar panels and waterless toilets.  These green movements are what could thrive in the future because many people are getting on board with the green movement and usually if people see a company going green they will think highly of the certain company for having a plan to safe the environment.

It will be interesting to see just how this will affect the workplace and productivity. I've seen workplaces especially office spaces include a gym for employees to workout in and other amenities. More companies are doing this and it seems that workplaces now are becoming more of a home away from home as well as a place of work, which in my opinion would be great to foster cooperation and critical thinking in the workplace. Hopefully going green has the same effect.

As the corporate world grows increasingly larger so does its carbon footprint. With the imminent issue of climate change I think going green is a good step not only because it's more sustainable but also because it makes for a good corporate image especially in a world where corporate social responsibility is essential. Furthermore it also shows innovation. I think it's time that firms understand and adapt the idea of becoming "net positive" where they generate more energy than consume.

This is an interesting way to increase the labor productivity. A good company environment can attract more workers and is it also a good way to keep the existing workers because people are more intended to work in a comfortable environment. I believe that this is good for both companies and labors.

I think this will have positive impact on productivity. Things like plant walls and Zen garden would help to improve the mental and physical health of workers and lower their stress level.

I agree that productivity will be enhanced by offices going green. It may provide a more relaxing and healthy work environment that could greatly affect work moral in a positive way.

I second both the above comments to say that productivity would increase if offices went green. Going green by including walls of plants, Zen Gardens, and greenhouses would create a healthy environment for workers and increase their satisfactory levels, thereby making the firm more profitable through a positive work attitude

This sounds like it would make work much more enjoyable! Not to mention more beneficial in regard of employees mental and physical health, as well as company productivity! And of course the environment. Work places should make their offices like the google headquarters haha it's so creative with its space and resources as it plans to build more things suitable to the environment!
