THE EURO and the European ECONOMY-

http://www.economist.com/blogs/economist-explains/2013/11/economist-explains-10

This is a great article that talks about the relative strength of the Euro which is defying the trends in the European Economy, It is a couple months old, however it is still valid. I think we were just talking about the Euro in class, and I think this article should be an interesting read for all those baffled by the strenght of the Euro.

It is interesting to me that most people are baffled by the strength of the euro. I wonder what aspects are making people believe that the euro is weak and the European economies are weaker than they actually are.

It's interesting that the European economy is weak while the Euro is strong. It does make sense however, since there is a very low inflation rate to bring the price of the Euro down. Europe depends on exports and are struggling to sell their products abroad.
