youth in the economy still struggling

http://www.economist.com/news/leaders/21576663-number-young-people-out-work-globally-nearly-big-population-united

This article states that the youth in the economy are having a tough time finding work in this economy still even though it seems that the economy is getting better. It says that there has been a 30 percent rise in unemployment in the 15 to 24 range of people since 2007 which means that even though the economy is getting better young people are still having a hard time finding work. They also said idleness in the economy is leading to people being out of work later in life. people who don't find work early in their lives have a tougher time finding it as the economy moves on and they get older. This economy is performing well but it is stil hard for people to find work.

This article is particularly worrying for me as a graduating senior. I find these statistics quite surprising because I would think that the youth employment rate would be even worse in perhaps 2009 or 2010. I also wonder if there is a further breakdown of unemployment levels over particular industries and levels of attained education. I remember reading recently that the Recession disproportionately affected men worse than women, single people worse than married couples, and less educated people worse than more educated people.

It is depressing news for most college students especially those who are working really hard to work on a better future. The article suggests that people who don't find a good job earlier in their life are more likely not to find a better job later, can be true to some extend. There are a lot of variables involved here. Some people go to grad school after college which increases their chances of getting a job.

This is definitely upsetting to read about. Even though the economy is recovering slowly it is still difficult for younger people to get a decent job position. Even with a college degree it is difficult for people to find jobs and just goes to show that the economy is changing and employers are expecting more. Hopefully, this changes in the future and young people entering the workforce will find more opportunities.
