Toyota Boosts Sales Forecast

This article, while short, shows a lot of promise. The recession has it many industries very hard, and automakers have been at the heart of those in crisis. While this is only one automaker's report (and a non-domestic one at that), it is still good news of a hopeful rebound in demand for automobiles, and eventually other products as well.

This article is a shot of good news into an industry struggling to survive. While growth is slow now it is better then no growth at all. It would be more encouraging to see this type of sales increase in the American car industry as apposed to growth in the Asian car industry, but it is still encouraging for the global economy.

This article seemed to have a lot of good vibes to it. It's encouraging to know that Toyota is doing a great job at tackling the weak economy, through Japanese governmental help. This is a good article to follow up on and see how Toyota is managing to keep both local and global sales up in these tough recessionary times. The US government could try to follow suit, and work on providing tax encentives and subsidies for its Big 3 auto makers!

I agree with both your comments. The article is only about a foreign automaker, but that doesn't detract from the overall good news it signifies. It would be interesting to see if the US government can emulate the same programs the Japanese government is using, and end up with the same result. Hopefully this article is just the first of many increases in growth in automakers abroad and domestically, as well as in other industries.
