An article that I found interesting was the recall of over 362,000 Tesla cars. These cars are known as fully self-driving cars however they were recalled because this program is flawed. It was stated that “ the driver assistance system did not adequately adhere to traffic safety laws and could cause crashes.” Due to this recall the shares of Tesla have been impacted with a decrease of 5.7%. This is a big issue for Tesla because in March they were going to promote more artificial intelligence capabilities in their cars. However, since this recall impacted so many cars and revenues that Tesla is unlikely to promote their next expansion ideas. Overall, this was a very interesting article that shows that advances in technology and the speed in which this technology is being developed can be detrimental to the economy and safety of the population.

Overall, great post! I think that watching Tesla at this time is going to be interesting to see how they respond. I feel as though Elon Musk always seems to have an unconventional approach to responding to a situation. I think Elon Musk's approach could either help or hurt Tesla during this quite fragile moment in their history as a company.
That is a huge drop in stocks for the company. I am interested to see how they adjust the program to avoid issues in the future. I am also curious about the variety of road rules in each state or conditional rules like turning right on red. Does the program adapt for such rules? Self-driving cars are a wonderful sight into the future progress of technology, but it is clear that there are still several issues withholding progress.
Hello Annabel,
Tesla is a very interesting company to follow in terms of stock value, and new advancements. I was very unaware that TSLA had recalled their vehicles based on flawed AI capabilities with self-driving. This would certainly decrease sales and stock value due to consumer uncertainty about the product.
Although Tesla had to go through this setback I do believe that Tesla will be the future in terms of their excellence in AI, EVs, and self-driving cars.
Overall, very unique post. Well done.
Tesla is a car company that grew very fast, by a guy who has never made cars before. There have always been arguments that the quality of Tesla's is low, and this can be attributed to the fact that Tesla's are famous for the technology and the data, not the manufacturing quality. So to be honest, it surprises me that this large of a recall is due to a problem with the technology and not the manufacturing. Nonetheless, the company is revolutionary and grew so fast that many people should be able to predict problems and recalls along the way.
It has been interesting to see how Tesla will respond to this issue. I have noticed in the media that they have gotten a lot of backlash due to delayed delivery times and cosmetic issues in their vehicles. Still, there is high expectations from them as they are an industry leader in self-driving EVs.
