U.S. gunmaker Remington files for bankruptcy

It is surprising to see this article stating one of the largest firearms makers to file bankruptcy protection at first, but it is somehow indicating how the gun industry will go due to the opposed public pressure.

This is an extremely interesting article given the very public push back against guns in our country. With the March for our Lives being so recent, I wonder how the rest of the firearms industry in the US will fare moving into the future.

It is really interesting how the gun industry is getting affected by people protesting and going to events like the recent march. It makes everyone wonder if this is something that will affect the industry in the long run, or if it is just because of recent events and will recover with time. In my opinion, I don't think it's going to get back on track because more and more people are protesting and changing their views about guns, I feel like more people are against being able to get guns so easily and want at least people to get training and special licences in order to be able to have guns, which could potentially reduce many of the shooting and problems that have been related with guns lately.

Firearms have been increasing in demand as well as technology since they were first introduced to mankind. Anti gun-violence pressure is more likely to shift the methods used by the gun industry versus take away from the market as a whole.

This article truly highlights the power of individuals and the impact the public can make when they come together to fight injustice. If the federal government is not going to implement gun policy than it is crucial the next step is to target the gun makers and prove that the public demand for weapons of this caliber is declining.
