Republicans pull their health-care bill

Republicans pull their health-care bill

For about seven years Republicans have had strong resistance to the Affordable Care Act and have made efforts to change to a new healthcare policy.  With President Trump taking office in January, one of the first priorities was to fast-track a plan to do away with ACA and install a new healthcare bill.  Though many may criticize the current ACA, a concrete plan of replacing it has had difficulty materializing, and ultimately receiving wide spread support.  This statement has been supported to be true from many Republican not voting on the recent bill pushing for the American Health Care.  Speaker of the House Paul Ryan stated "We are going to be living with Obamacare for the foreseeable future," this attest to the uphill battle of repealing ACA and implementing a new healthcare care.    I am curious to hear others thoughts on this.

I find it very intriguing that the Republicans, who ran largely on their opposition to the Affordable Care Act, have come up short in their proposal. It just proves that healthcare, and healthcare reform, is a beast to alter. However, it is refreshing to see that Republicans didn't just try to ram something through for the sake of politics and saving face. It will be interesting to see if they can come up with anything else.

Honestly, I'm still shocked that after all this time they didn't even have a bill drafted. I wonder what the ramifications for this misstep are going to be in the years to come. With Trump's approval rating so low, and the GOP's first major push turning out to be a massive flop, what are people going to be thinking about the party.

I believe Trump supporters are in for a quite a ride as the Trump administration and now Republicans continue to shock the country. Even with the majority in the House of Representatives, the legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare was pulled. It is quite clear that leaders in the Republican party were divided on repealing the current healthcare act. This has sent the market into a frenzy as such a decision will put more risk into the market itself. Trump's tax reform also somewhat depended on the repeal. Major agribusiness companies will be negatively impacted if Trump does not follow through on his ambitious tax cut promise. With the withdrawal of the bill, hospital and Medicaid-related stocks have also moved higher. This is projected to achieve a positive return in the market.

I think that this was a interesting article to read. it shocks me some of the things that are going on in this country with the president. it is amazing that they didn't even have a bill drafted. it will be interesting to see how this economy is doing at the end of trumps term. he needs to spend less time on twitter and more time focusing on the problems in front of him.

I think this article reveals a fact that even though many people always resist and criticize the Obamacare, it's actually hard to find a better policy on health care policy. It is often easier said than done. But I'm also bit shocked about that they even not have a draft bill on the healthcare. It seems very important to have a long-run and stable plan. I'm looking forward to seeing what will happen to the fiscal policy in future to solve the unplanned situation.
