E-Cow-Nomics Poster
Recently my suite mates got one of the best posters I've seen. As an economics student, I found it to be very witty and quite comical. Hopefully you will enjoy the poster and its relevancy to class.
The poster describes economic/political systems with cows, but is actually quite productive in doing so. As the poster progresses, the contents become more comical in nature but "Humor is the good natured side of a truth" (Mark Twain).
Light-hearted approaches can be great ways to learn. Are there any fun things like this that you have seen?

I've definitely seen that on t-shirts before and have always thought it was funny. I also think in the beginning of my economics education it was explained to me like that. I think it's an easy way to explain the very basics of economics.
A lot of kids learn better when there are concrete examples in front of them (such as these cows) with basic wording, or if something is visible to them. I know I did (and do!) so I think this is a fun, silly way as to get a basic understanding of economics.
I agree with Emily above, this poster simply and accurately describes economic systems for those just beginning (or even those who need a refresher) in economics in a fun and stimulating way. Visual aid incorporation to the learning process has proven to be a success in many classrooms for all ages groups (pre-k to graduate level) and while many students simply memorize the required content for the exam, I feel like visual aid representations like this one help them to remember the facts even after the exam is over.
In response to the question "are there any fun things like this that you have seen?": I have seen this type of visual aid representation before in my intro economics class in high school (only with chickens) and it truly did help me to learn economics in a fun and silly manner. I think it is important to make learning fun and relatable and with visual aid representations like this one, we are doing just that.
This poster is definitely one of the most humorous 'educational' posters I have seen. I personally had a tough time initially to grasp all the different concepts of capitalism, socialism, etc. I saw it in a friend's room couple of weeks back and thought it was fabulous. It not only helps you learn the concepts in a funny way, but also assists you to remember the concepts due to the organized visual presentation. This poster is definitely something I am planning to add to my room soon!
I think this poster is very interesting and a good way to exemplify each of the different forms of government in a way that is easily understood. I have seen this before and have always really liked it. Personally, I know a lot of people who are visual learners and have benefited from posters like this one, that simplify everything and make it easier to understand. Thanks for sharing!
