Could Falling Prices Make Natural Gas the U.S.’s Primary Energy Form?

This is a good article that shows that in order for markets to work, we always need to be learning about and developing that market. For years, the US's primary fuel source was coal. Now our primary fuel source is oil. But with raising oil prices and Iran's threat to close the Straight of Hormuz, the US market for energy fuel is changing. Falling natural gas prices are going to change how consumers and producers across the nation use energy.

This is true but, but the up and coming fracking industry might just be a game changer. States like Ohio with a high prevalence of shale will definitely benefit.

This is very possible. Oil resourse is definately not that reliable in the long term for the United States, actually for most of the countries in the world. Natural gas is currently the best replacement.

It is true that the oil resource is becoming more and more expensive, which makes it a challenge for many countries. Moreover, for a long term, it is not sustainable. Therefore, it is necessary to discover some new energy resources. As mentioned in this article, natural gas could be a potential replacement of oil. However, in my opinion, what we need is not only a replacement but a number of replacements that could be used as daily fuels. Put it differently, we don’t want to see a new energy threat emerging again in the near future. Therefore, people cannot only depend on one or two resources but they also need to discover/find out/create more resources to ensure a sustainable future.
