How Many Jobs Has Stimulus Created

This information is not in article form, but as a map. There are two different ways to view it - one is how many jobs (per state) stimulus has created, and the other is current unemployment percentages. It is possible to scroll on each state to view the information for each. The range of jobs created is 960-110,185 and the range of unemployment is 4.2%-15.3%.

Its interesting to see how many jobs were saved or created state by state but the economy in general has lost a lot of jobs and the unemployment rate in October has been very high.

This is an interesting map but no matter how you look at it there is a massive amount of unemployment it the country. I found it interesting to compare unemployment data with stimulus job data.

Well I guess its always good to see signs that the Recovery Act is creating/saving jobs, but the issue with unemployment is going to be high for the next few years to come according to most economists. Unemployment will gradually decrease, and it is going to be very hard for people to find jobs (including college grads). Let's hope this recovery will turn out better than most people are predicting.

I really liked this article because it gave you a visual of the recovery, or attempted recovery. I would be interested in seeing how the statistics were gathered. What is the criteria specifically for a "saved" or "created" job?
